Future Shorts From Kabul to Tokyo, Cairo to Los Angeles, Athens to Baku and now Dubai – this is the next generation of film festivals, taking place in 55 countries, 150 cities, 270 screenings, with a 25,000 person audience.
MAKE film with support from Live Cinema brings FUTURE SHORTS to the city with the aim of growing the community of all who love cinema, experience and the unknown. This is the new world of cinema…
The event is a wholly interactive experience, fusing film with performance, design, theatre and music.
A percentage of all tickets sold for MAKE film will be directed to the first independent film fund created in Dubai, to support a short film with a strong message and mentor independent film makers.
Food and beverages are included in ticket price.

Any news on what happened to the percentage of money from this event that went into the independent film fund? Would like to know how much money went into the fund and who/what projects is it supporting.
Hi Hind, the film event was hosted in partnership with ‘Live Cinema’ they are actively building a community of actors, directors and producers in the region. The film fund is an ongoing project that they manage. Thanks for the follow up and hopefully we will be showing a locally made film in MAKE soon, supported by the initiative.
